Océ TDS700 wins international product design award 2007
New printing system combines flexibility with outstanding design
Venlo, the Netherlands, 12 February 2007 — The new Océ TDS700 has won the international product design award 2007. This coveted award is given annually to products that exemplify contemporary design standards. This year's iF product design awards attracted 2,293 entries from 35 countries competing in 12 catagories. The award for Océ's TDS 700 confirms Océ's leadership in technical document printing. 'The iF Product Design Award 2007 for the Océ TDS700 printer is a recognition of the Océ Design team's contribution to the system,' said Arthur Gebhard, International Product Market Manager, Océ Technologies B.V. Coveted design award
iF, International Forum Design, provides a broad range of design-related services and has been presenting the iF product design award since 1954. 
Today this award is regarded as one of the world's most important design competitions. The jury, composed of top international designers, critically examines entries and honours products that exemplify contemporary design standards. The award enhances appreciation of excellent design, draws attention to outstanding design achievement and helps consumers and companies navigate in a complex design world. The iF award jury has already honoured two other Océ innovations incorporated into the Océ TDS700.

The iF jury recognised that the Océ TDS700's fast print engine and user-friendliness added up to a productive concept that was reflected in its robust, flowing design.
Three award-winning innovations in one
The Océ TDS700 incorporates two other Océ innovations recognised by the iF award jury. The Océ TDS700 flexible scanner won the iF product design award 2006. This wide format 600 dpi colour scanner provides accurate media feed at a comfortable height. The operating panel can also be adjusted to a variety of users, including people in a wheelchair or those with visual impairment. In addition, Océ Ocean won the iF communication design award last year. This new-look interface makes operation simpler and more easily accessible to operators of all skill levels.
