The pacesetter: Océ VarioStream 9710 – the fastest toner-based B/W duplex printing system
The latest member of the Océ VarioStream 9000 family boosts print productivity by up to 80 percent
Océ, the global market leader in continuous-feed digital printing, is unveiling an addition to its Océ VarioStream® 9000 Series. Significantly raising speed benchmarks for B/W output, the latest 9000 model, the Océ VarioStream 9710, sets new dimensions in high productivity printing. It looks set to be a highly popular solution in every arena – chiefly in transactional printing of B/W invoices, account statements and direct mail, but also in graphic arts applications. Additionally, it can be field-upgraded with Océ CustomTone for two or three-color printing to the Océ VarioStream 9720 or 9730. The Océ VarioStream 9700 creates a new line in the 9000 family, which offers a suitable solution for every customer demand profile. Of course, all existing VarioStream 9000 installations are field-upgradable to the high speed version.
VarioStream 9710 – the ultimate in speed
The new Océ VarioStream 9710 prints up to 1,425 A4-size pages per minute, delivering significant savings while maintaining superb output quality. “With this level of speed, the Océ VarioStream 9000 Series stands out as an ultra-high performer on B/W output productivity, moving Océ into the pole position in high-speed continuous feed printing,” says Sebastian Landesberger, Chief Executive Officer Océ Printing Systems GmbH. The Océ VarioStream 9710 unleashes its full strength in B/W transactional printing for invoices, account statements and direct mail.
No matter what the application – credit-card statements or the plethora of print communications in public administration – the Océ VarioStream 9710 scores with its groundbreaking speed, efficiency and reliability. It also handles with ease graphics arts applications such as textbooks: the Océ duplex printing system ensures delivery to deadline with ultra-fast output speed while maintaining the acknowledged high quality. A special GraphicArts option can be added for printing challenging graphics and images comprising numerous gray levels. Like the other models in the VarioStream 9000 Series, the Océ VarioStream 9710 can be field-upgraded with the familiar Océ CustomTone technology, which gives customers even greater future security and flexibility. The three new variants of the Océ VarioStream 9000 family will be the 9710 for B/W printing and the 9720 and 9730 for one and two Océ CustomTones respectively. The system is due to begin shipping in the first half of 2008.
