High speed inkjet full color printer with unprecedented flexibility

Highly flexible and versatile high speed, full color inkjet printer

The Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series is the series of high speed, high quality full color inkjet printers with a speed of 75 or 100 meters per minute for 505 up to 1350 A4 images per minute. Through its unique combination of productivity, efficiency and quality it simplifies and accelertates the transition from monochrome to full-color or even 5 or 6 colors. The DigiDot multilevel dot modulation produces crisp details and smooth halftones with a perceived quality of 1200 dpi at full rated speed. It offers productivity and flexibility for high-speed color and monochrome production of transaction, TransPromo, direct mail, book and manual applications with the reliability, print quality and media range associated with the DigiDot technology. The Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series provides a modular offering in various single and twin configurations. The flexible Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series system allows you to adapt the printing mode to match your pace of the transition to color. A full-color Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series can be set up as monochrome-only system when needed. The production and media flexibility contributes to a future-proof system that simplifies the transition of applications and business models to more sophisticated documents with variable personalization and smarter communication in color.

Benefit from proven high volume printing technology

  • Proven Océ DigiDot inkjet technology and Océ SRA MP controller

  • Outstanding simplex/duplex flexibility through twin concept

  • Paper waste reduction through printing in speed-up / slow-down ramps and first pageprinting after short stop

  • Growth path into color from monochrome up to 6 colors (field upgradeable)

  • Low impact integration and coexistence with datacenter infrastructure

  • Seamless workflow integration with regards to prepress and finishing

  • High ease of use for increased operational efficiency

Productivity and flexibility for high-speed color production

The Océ ColorStream 3500 system prints at 75 meters per minute, the Océ ColorStream 3700 at 100 meters per minute, both with a print width of 540 mm (21,25”). That translates to 505 or 675 A4-size ppm (537 or 716 letter) for a single unit or 1010 / 1350 A4-size ppm (1070 / 1432 letter) for a twin configuration with average volumes up to 16 / 22 million A4 pages per month on a single system or up to 32 / 43 million A4 images per month on a twin system, all at a perceived print quality of 1200 dpi for images and halftones using the Multilevel capability of the Océ DigiDot technology

Smart innovations for smart communication in color

Several smart features of the ColorStream 3000 Twin series enable a fast switch between long monochrome runs and full-color prints. The twin concept allows an easy entry into the world of inkjet printing by starting with a simplex mono version. The datacentre-infrastructure fit regarding size, weight and power supply as well as a seamless integration into existing environments with regards to workflow and finishing makes it easy to replace older toner-based continuous feed systems with the new ColorStream 3000 Twin series, thus accelerating the transition to color. The Océ ColorStream 3500 represented a new step to the transition to full color built on these capabilities. With the new ColorStream 3700 Océ acellerates the transition.

Low risk innovation

The Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series systems build on the best of Océ’s continuous feed technologies including the Océ DigiDot piezoelectric drop-on-demand technology, industry's fastest inkjet print heads to produce stunning color at top speeds, Océ SRA MP controller power and the flexibility of Océ VarioStream L-/H- or U-shape twin configurations. Together with the Océ service power and the investment protection and upgradability approach this ensures you a low risk innovation.

Configurations

The Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series can be configured in many different ways to optimally match your production requirements.

  • Color: Start with monochrome printing and upgrade up to six colors with CMYK plus special inks including e.g. MICR.

  • Simplex / Duplex: Choose between 5 different configurations
The Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series can be configured as single unit, inline Twin or L-, H- or U-Twin for simplex and duplex productivity.

The Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series reduces environmental impact

The Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series has a smaller carbon footprint, a more economical use of ink and less waste than its competitors, extending the Océ environmental sustainability commitment to the high volume color inkjet market.

Printing in speed ramps between the full stop and the nominal production speed as well as from production speed to a full stop for e.g. print quality inspection significantly reduces the amount of paper waste. With that capability the Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series ensures sustainability through reduction of paper waste. Especially in data centres, it is common to print the first few pages, adapt sensors, check for correct positioning and then start printing. With the Océ ColorStream 3000 Twin series this can be done with far less paper waste. Furthermore the not generated white pages in the production stream significantly increase the productivity of downstream post processing as no waste pages in the printed material have to be sorted out of the production flow.
